Guidance on enhanced holiday and AWR parity at assignment level

Learn all about the enhanced holiday and AWR (Agency Worker Regulations) parity at assignment level.

You can define the amount of holiday a worker should accrue within an Assignment. This allows for workers with a contract getting more than the standard 28 days holiday (basic+additional).

Additional fields may be used for workers on AWR Parity terms to define when parity should be reached, as well as informing Pay & Bill when a worker performed the same job previous and was paid outside of Pay & Bill.

The Holiday Accrual Percentage is calculated by dividing the number of days holiday by the number of days worked in a year. For example, a worker with a five day working week and 28 days holiday accrues at 12.069% or 28/(5x52-28)x100.

📌 Note: For workers on Daily (fixed) accrual, the formula is the number of days holiday divided by the periods in a year.

Prev Serv Wks should only be populated if the worker has been on the same assignment, under the same role, in another system. The value will be added to the number of weeks worked within Pay & Bill under this assignment, as part of the calculation for AWR Qualifying Weeks.

AWR Qualify Wks defines how many weeks they need to work until they reach parity. The system will then count how many periods/timesheets the worker has worked, and it will add any weeks you have put in the Prev Serv Wks field (if used) in order to determine if the worker has reached the AWR qualifying weeks you have set.
