Payroll Reports vs EPS figures

Learn why the monthly EPS (Employer Payment Summary) figures are slightly different to the figure produced each week on the payroll reports.

This is because Payroll Reports are based upon Tax Period. An EPS is based upon Employer Pay Period which runs from the 6th of one month, to the 5th of the following month.

Your pay date for a timesheet that has a tax period ending on or around the 5th of a month will have a pay date outside of the Employer Pay Period and so will not be included in your figures on the EPS.
