Creating a CMEC with an Admin Fee

The CMEC (Child Maintenance Enforcement Commission) deduction needs to be calculated after Pension, NI, PAYE and any priority court orders. In the calculation of this deduction, certain payments need to be excluded, which are as follows:

  • Statutory Maternity Pay.

  • Statutory Paternity Pay.

  • Statutory Paternity Pay.

  • Statutory Adoption Pay.

  • Statutory Shared Parental Pay.

These statutory deductions can be excluded in the Excluded Payments Maintenance screen (Payroll ; Definitions ; Excluded Payments Maintenance).

When you attach the CMEC to the worker, you have to enter the following extra information:

  • The date the CMEC becomes effective.

  • The Input Amount (amount to deduct each week) โ€“ this figure may be given as an annual figure.

  • Protected Earning (this figure will be on the paperwork you receive; it is the percentage or value under which no CMEC deduction will be deducted).

  • Reference number for the worker.
